E-ticketing player eyes Latin America
Alternet Systems has rolled out its wireless consumer e-ticket solution for the mass transportation market, says CNN Money.
Prepaid fare collection is becoming an industry standard in the mass transportation marketplace. Alternet is initially targeting the mass transportation market in Central and South America, and anticipates establishing a recurring revenue foundation with its E-Transaction solution by processing 24 million e-tickets within the first year following the solution rollout.
Alternet has built a comprehensive wireless E-Transaction system that can support electronic payment transactions for multiple industries. The company plans to roll out its solution in the financial, telecommunications, and utility industries.
E-marketing for tour operators 101
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) recently held a seminar to educate tourist business operators in IT and online marketing to make them more internationally competitive, reports Pattaya Daily News.
Previously, TAT created the www.etourisminsight.com Web site as an information centre on e-marketing for the Thai tourist business, and now it is also to be a research centre for IT.

Mobile analytics tool launched
Omniture Inc. has released the latest version of Omniture SiteCatalyst, which advances mobile analytics capabilities that businesses need to increase the performance of mobile marketing campaigns, says M-Travel.
Omniture, an online business optimisation software vendor, shared that its mobile analytics provides business insight to optimise mobile site design, content, marketing campaigns and user experience for the mobile Internet visitor based on attributes such as their device type, location, video and audio formats.
As a result, mobile marketers can provide a better experience driving loyalty, brand and conversion.
