According to Edgy`s release schedule the final release should hit the download servers this Thursday if there are no critical problems.
Novell moves away from ReiserFS
Novell is moving away from shipping the ReiserFS file system as the default in its Suse distribution. Novell said new versions of Suse Linux Enterprise will use ext3 as the default file system, important foundational software that manages how data is stored on hard drives, CNet News reports.
The change demotes the current default, ReiserFS, to a secondary, though still supported, option. The author of ReiserFS, Hans Reiser, was arrested earlier this month on a murder charge after his estranged wife Nina, disappeared.
