Entrepreneur institute opens in UAE

Cisco says its first Cisco Entrepreneur Institute training centre in the United Arab Emirates has opened at Dubai Knowledge Village, reports Zawya.

According to the company, the institute will foster the creation and success of small and medium businesses by providing practical insight, facilitating knowledge sharing with local business leaders and highlighting the role that ICT plays in speeding up business growth.

The announcement was made together with WideView, a provider of speakers, trainers and consultants. WideView will be offering in-person and e-learning sessions utilising a combination of Web 2.0 and advanced open source tools, including Moodle and Cisco WebEx.

WKFS offers solution

Wolters Kluwer Financial Services, a provider of regulatory intelligence, management, process management, and oversight to financial services organisations, has released its compliance e-learning solutions, online training courses for US professionals, says Business Wire.

The courses offer financial services firms customisable tools for communicating compliance obligations to employees, and helping employees understand the firm's policies and procedures.

The e-learning platform allows securities firms to create customised portals for employees based on their individual needs, considering various factors, such as business area, job role and location.

CPG, Media Arts employ e-learning solution

Church Pension Group (CPG) partnered with Brookwood Media Arts to develop a blended e-learning solution that would unify efforts to deliver consistent training messages to its call centre employees, says Chief Learning Officer.

The organisation needed to provide training for internal team members in response to limited resources and the implementation of new technology to ensure optimal customer support.

The Church Pension Group provides pensions, life insurance and other benefits to the Episcopal clergy, lay employees and their families across the nation. CPG selected Brookwood to construct a uniform knowledge base that would train call centre representatives to use the new benefits package system to better assist active and non-active clergy members.
