JSE-listed EOH has become one of six large account resellers (LARs) for software giant Microsoft, which expands its pool of potential clients.
The deal will allow the company to sell software packages to large companies, with more than 250 end-users, and adds to its current offerings. It also means the company can directly provide its large clients with licensing services.
ITWeb understands the other enterprise software advisors, or large account resellers, in SA are Dimension Data, First Technologies, Datacentrix, Business Connexion and Bytes.
“It is an incredible privilege for EOH and will act as an enabler to do more business as an end-to-end systems integrator in the Microsoft space,” says Simon Peter, director of EOH Microsoft Licensing.
EOH aims to become Microsoft's leading partner in SA and has been growing its competencies in the space. It has acquired specialised skills through its recent purchases of Airborne and Microsoft specialist company Belay.

EOH is on track to meeting its R4 billion revenue target, which it aims to achieve through a combination of acquisitions and organic growth.
For the year to July, EOH reported revenue 43.5% higher, to R2.4 billion. During the year, its primary focus was to increase its managed services, Microsoft and business process outsourcing health businesses. The company made several acquisitions in these areas.
