Facebookers hit by click-jacking exploit

Facebook administrators have blocked a click-jacking exploit that displayed images of a scantily clad woman on profile pages without first prompting the user for permission, writes The Register.

The attack began when a victim encountered the image of the near-naked woman on a friend's profile page along with the words "Want 2 C something hot? Click da button, baby!"

Facebookers who took the bait - and were logged in to their accounts at the time - found their profile pages were updated to include the same image. The more people who fell for the come-on, the more the come-on was presented to new potential victims, giving the attack a viral quality.

Unite members at HP in the UK have voted in favour of a strike over changes to jobs and pay, says Computing.co.uk.

Unite said HP had treated its employees with "contempt" by removing pay and pension benefits along with a bonus scheme.

The union claimed that over three-quarters of its members at HP had voted "overwhelmingly" for strike action, or action short of a strike.

An inspector at Britain's largest jail has said technology should be used to jam mobile phone signals in prisons, reports the BBC.

David Jamieson, chairman of Wandsworth prison's Independent Monitoring Board, says illegal phones fuel prison drug trading, bullying and gang problems.

Behind bars, phones can cost £400 each. He said the trade had been worth £9 million in 2008, when 7 000 phones were seized.

Xhead = AT&T offers prepaid wireless broadband

AT&T has unveiled a prepaid wireless broadband service, following the lead of competitor Verizon Wireless, says CNet.

Pricing for the new AT&T DataConnect Pass plans are the same as what Verizon Wireless is charging.

Customers can pay $15 for a daily pass with a data usage cap of 75MB. A weekly plan costs $30 and allows for 250MB of data usage. The monthly plan is $50 and offers 500MB of usage.
