Fox IT Service Management South Africa today announced that it has added yet another internationally accredited certification to its already comprehensive IT Governance and Service Management portfolio, with the addition of the IAITAM (International Association of IT Asset Managers) IT asset management (ITAM) certifications.
"Technology use (software, hardware and mobile) and the resultant business dependency has increased exponentially over recent years, and the need for organisational staff at all levels to understand their individual responsibilities, and Enterprise IT's need to account for, govern and manage these assets has become non-negotiable due to financial, legislative and best practice drivers and requirements," states Ian Clark, Managing Director at Fox IT Service Management South Africa.
"We have recognised this need through numerous discussions with clients and this has driven us to secure a partnership with IAITAM to deliver these high value certification courses to the African continent," adds Clark.
The course initially being offered under this new international certification scheme is the two-day IT Asset Management Foundation course and examination. Designed to provide an extensive overview of ITAM best practices and key process areas as well as ways to embrace and integrate already developed organisational frameworks and processes such as ITAM, COBIT and ITIL IT Service Management.
"All information contained within this foundation level course has been designed and created as an invaluable guideline for all staff who receive, use, own, govern and manage enterprise IT assets.
