Fujitsu Siemens Computers is highlighting the integration of its IT product services (ITPS) division at its annual VisIT Forum, taking place in Augsburg, Germany, this week.

"The new Fujitsu Siemens Computers is focusing on value through close co-operation of hardware, services and solution sales," the company's CEO and president Bernd Bischoff told journalists at a news conference.

Bischoff said he was happy with the integration of ITPS, claiming the process was progressing well and ahead of schedule in some respects.

According to Bischoff, the move to become an end-to-end solution provider, including services, was driven by customer demand. "A dynamic centre offering is not that compelling without services to support it," he conceded.

Bischoff also said although ITPS added value for the customer, it was expected to broaden the company's overall customer base and thereby increase market opportunities, particularly through existing business partnerships.

Neil Allpress, VP of ITPS, said the division is geared to offer maintenance and support services, integration services, and managed services in 170 countries around the world to support multi-vendor environments.

Allpress also announced that Fujitsu Siemens is the first solution provider to achieve certification in ISO standards for IT management, information and quality management.
