Gas City will deploy Radiant point of sale (POS) and related technology to approximately 50 locations around the US, states CS News.
"Our goal is to deliver a customer experience that is unique to Gas City," says Gas City executive VP William McEnery. "Radiant's leadership as a developer of back office solutions and commitment to innovation and data security fit well with that goal."
The Radiant solution includes Radiant POS software, P1560 hardware terminals with Order Confirmation Displays, S4600 site servers, Radiant Electronic Payment Controllers and Tiger Fuel Controllers, the company reported. The Radiant solution will integrate to Gas City's ADD Systems back office solution in the identified locations.
Canon scores government contract
Canon has been awarded a multiple award schedule contract under the consolidated schedule, by the US General Services Administration's (GSA) Federal Acquisition Service, reports Earth Times.
GSA designed the consolidated schedule as a means for industry to offer a more diverse service and product base under a single schedules contract, rather than managing numerous separate schedule contracts.
In addition to the federal government, agencies within several states, including California, Ohio and New Jersey, take advantage of GSA contracts to help meet their needs for document solutions. With this new GSA schedule, government customers will have direct access to several of Canon's products and solutions.

Rivers Run Red shines in the annual BT Business Essence of the Entrepreneur competition, says TMC Net.
The office solution developer was one of 20 inspiring entrepreneurs to be recognised by BT Business as winners, by demonstrating they had found new directions to succeed in business with the help of technology.
One of the main goals of Rivers Run Red was to address the significant impact of travel affecting enterprises in particular, and the company began creating enterprise solutions harnessing virtual world technology in late 2006.
