ADSL services in Gauteng have been disrupted, leaving subscribers stranded and second tier providers indefinitely disconnected.
According to the to the technical services centre at one of the affected providers, its ADSL fell over at about 12 midday today and was expected to
be back up by 3pm.
Apparently, the disruption has affected the Gauteng region, which specifically includes Johannesburg and all of its surrounding areas.
The problem is reported to have originated due to a faulty module on a SAIX router.
