Governance makes top two

According to the 19th American Institute of Certified Public Accountants' Annual Top Technology Initiatives survey, IT is the second highest priority affecting IT strategy, investment and implementation, says The CPA.

The AICPA poll was conducted in 2007 together with ISACA, the Institute of Internal Auditors and the Information Technology Alliance.

Many sources agree that IT governance is critical to help ensure an organisation's maximal use of IT resources and overall performance.

MetricStream to exhibit

MetricStream is participating in the 2008 annual meeting of the Parenteral Drug Association (PDA), according to PR-Inside.

PDA is a non-profit organisation and a leading global provider of science, technology and information and for the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical community.

MetricStream will demonstrate its solutions for quality, compliance and risk management for the life sciences industry.

Autonomy eases e-discovery

Autonomy Information Governance, a server-based software, identifies data that could be relevant to litigation or compliance efforts by making "human-friendly" information understandable to computers, reports News Factor.

It also helps organisations dispose of data that is no longer required to be stored.

"It's a unified view of your information and what you need to do with that information for compliance purposes, legal-hold purposes, and also overall for deletion purposes," explains Nicole Eagan, chief marketing officer for Autonomy.
