Industry gets ready for ITWeb SOA 2008

The 2008 ITWeb Enterprise SOA conference will take place on the 28th of October at Gallagher Estate, Midrand.

Sponsored by IBM, Bytes Technology, Sun Microsystems and Microsoft, the conference will take a look at the way SOA is transforming business and how IT and business managers think about their businesses, processes, and technology.

SOA 2008 will offer practical insights on the development, implementation and of SOA solutions in an enterprise to IT executives and architects.

Important issues which will be addressed by industry experts and business practitioners include: Building the business case for SOA, getting SOA buy-in from the business, delivering real-time SOA benefits to the business, practical steps to implementing a solid SOA framework, managing IT governance and enhancing standardisation through SOA.

Delegates can look forward to insights on successful SOA implementations through the presentation of case studies by Nardus Breytenbach, chief enterprise architect for the Transnet Group Transnet and Matrix Vehicle , Bruce Nolte.

Key speakers at the conference will be Cornelius Pone, principal analyst, PPC, who will address delegates on using SOA and BPM together while business development manager of IBM, Joe Ruthven, will give a presentation on building a business case for SOA.

Clive Hatton, Enterprise Architecture Consultant at Real IRM, will offer a practical guide to SOA and Andrew Hately, Senior Technical Staff at IBM, will talk about the best practices for SOA governance.
