International channel giant Ingram Micro has landed two more high-profile deals in SA.
Yesterday, the company announced it would add the Targus and Intel product lines to its stable.
This follows recent deals with Samsung for optical disk drives and hard disk drives, as well as Microsoft, the company's first foray into software distribution.
John David, vendor manager at Ingram Micro SA, says the latest agreements allow the company to address niches it sees as critical to its success.
"Targus [is] a leader in accessories," says David. "We will be taking on the company's range of bags, USBs, and power accessories, as well as mobile peripherals."
With regards to Intel, he says: "We [now] have the ability to offer better stockholding of the most important components, namely CPUs and motherboards, at more cost-effective prices."
While mum on the details, Ingram Micro promises more deals in the year to come. The company is a joint venture between Ingram Micro Europe and MB Technologies.
