Cisco`s Networkers Africa Conference 2005, to be hosted at Sun City from 13 to 16 February, is expected to draw together over 700 networking professionals, customers and partners from all over Africa.
Coinciding with the liberalisation of the local telecommunications sector in February, this year`s event is to focus on Internet Protocol (IP) communications and the evolution of IP infrastructures, as well as security, mobility and wireless, broadband access, and data centres.
"Networkers Africa is the industry`s main technical info-sharing event and year after year, the continent`s leading IT professionals have relied on the conference as the key technology driver for the year," says Mokati Ramphele, Cisco Systems sub-Saharan Africa GM.
"Networkers provides an essential industry conference, designed to provide networking professionals with vital updates on trends, innovations and developments in technology," Ramphele emphasises.
Attendees will have a choice of 50 topics in the final day`s breakout sessions. Ramphele says the sessions map the future for technology and are hosted by senior Cisco engineers, developers and technology experts.
