In the hopes of better linking its readers to the faces of the IT industry, ITWeb will provide a reference book of top South African chief information officers (CIOs), says Nicole Broome, managing editor of custom publishing at ITWeb.
The directory will feature biographies and photography of the top IT decision-makers. It is aimed at CIOs and at companies supplying products and services to them. It will also serve readers interested in getting a better understanding of what industry leaders are keeping an eye on. The first annual directory will contain CIOs' vision for IT in 2010.
Other than allowing readers to track movements in the industry, the directory will provide the CIOs with a chance to gain recognition from peers, be placed alongside competitors, and receive exposure for achievements they have made in their careers.
“The companies selected are based on annual billings and stock exchange listings,” says Broome. CIOs featured in the directory will receive a year's subscription of ITWeb's Brainstorm publication and their listings will appear on Wikipaedia and ITWeb online.
This reference guide of the top IT decision-makers is set to be released in March 2010. It will be distributed with Brainstorm magazine, and then sold separately.
