ITIL is best aid
Two thirds of IT staff believe that ITIL is the best aid to support their corporate governance initiatives, according to a survey by IT service management (ITSM) firm Axios Systems, reports CBR Online.
While eight in 10 of the respondents surveyed at the service desk and support acknowledged that governance had risen in importance over the past three years, few were using tools to help them comply.
Only 7% said they used ITSM tools and only 14% used an IT governance framework, blaming the pressure of juggling IT responsibilities on the failure to adopt these measures.
IT managers prioritise compliance
Regulatory compliance, protection of sensitive info and governance is paramount for IT managers and execs over next 18 months, says Tech World.
The findings come from a survey of over 3 100 members of ISACA - a non-profit IT industry association serving over 86 000 information governance, control, security and audit professionals in over 95 countries.
ISACA identified 21 current business issues impacted by technology that face IT managers and executives, and asked respondents to rank them according to priority.
