JDA Software Group has been named to the 2013 Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100.

The annual list acknowledges the achievements of solutions and services providers. JDA was recognised for its work with Butterball, a producer of turkey products in the US.

The JDA-Butterball project was deemed one of the "100 Great Supply Chain Projects" of 2013 because of the benefits Butterball received by implementing JDA's Demand and Fulfilment solutions.

"What makes JDA's receipt of the 2013 Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100 significant is that this award is based on a customer achieving supply chain excellence and measurable ROI," says Danny Halim, VP of industry strategies at JDA Software.

The JDA implementation resulted in a 50% improvement in long-term forecast bias and 28% reduction in distressed obsolescent inventory.

"Through the use of JDA solutions, Butterball is better positioned to anticipate and respond quickly when market dynamics change," says Dean Lisenby, director of demand and supply planning at Butterball.

"The improved forecasting and management processes have enabled Butterball to be more proactive in shaping demand. This allows supply chain planners to address seasonal capacity requirements while optimally balancing capacity and inventory risk."

Supply & Demand Chain Executive received over 200 submissions for consideration in the 2013 Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100. Butterball was also honoured at JDA's 2013 Real Results Awards, which honour companies that achieve measurable return on investment and develop innovative approaches to supply chain processes.
