Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, announces that Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 has received top scores in a series of tests conducted by PC Security Labs.

In March 2009, the respected Chinese anti-virus test lab, PC Security Labs, performed its latest series of tests on 14 popular anti-virus products, including F-Secure Internet Security 2009, G Data Internet Security 2009, and Trend Micro Internet Security 2009. The anti-virus products were evaluated on criteria such as detection levels in static and dynamic testing and the number of false positives.

Over 2 000 malicious programs, including Trojans, worms and viruses collected from a variety of sources, were used during testing to evaluate detection level. Testing for false positives was conducted using a collection of 'clean' files. Testing was conducted on a computer running the Windows XP SP3 operating system.

According to the results of the test, Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 demonstrated an almost perfect score of 99.5 points out of 100 and was awarded a rating of five stars.
