Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, announces that Acer Thailand has chosen Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 for bundling with all Acer notebook computers sold through retail channels in Thailand.
Starting from 8 October all retail customers buying Acer notebooks in Thailand will receive a copy of the newest version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus - KAV 2009 - with a 12-month user licence without charge to Acer customers. Personal customers buying Acer notebooks in Thailand will now enjoy all the benefits provided to Kaspersky Lab product users, including discounts for future licence renewal and upgrades to Kaspersky Internet Security 2009, as well as free technical support from Kaspersky Lab's local distributor, Icom Tech.
Kaspersky Lab's multiple-award-winning personal products, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 and Kaspersky Internet Security 2009, are built on a completely new anti-virus engine which dramatically increases system scanning speed. Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 also incorporates an innovative application activity filtration module based on Host-based Intrusion Prevention System technology together with an improved firewall, an anti-spam module and a parental control module.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 and Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 were developed in line with the system requirements for Windows Vista and are fully compatible with 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the operating system.
Moreover, the new products' low consumption of system resources is optimal for portable computers, resulting in a longer battery lifetime.
“Although Kaspersky Lab only entered the Thai consumer market this year, we are happy to state that our products have already become the most popular personal security solutions in the country. We are proud that Acer, one of the world's leading and most admired notebook brands, has chosen Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 for bundling with its entire range of consumer notebooks in such a highly promising market as Thailand,” said Gun Suk Ling, Director of Channel, South East Asia. “I am happy to see our collaboration with Acer, and I believe this partnership will benefit both our companies. I am confident that Thai customers will enjoy the world-renowned level of protection provided by Kaspersky Lab's newest products. We will be looking forward to enhancing our collaboration with Acer in the nearest future to bring greater value and security to our users.”
