Kaspersky Lab's AntiViral Toolkit Pro (AVP) was awarded its 12th Virus Bulletin 100% award in the April issue of the British magazine Virus Bulletin (

), outperforming such competitive products as Norton AntiVirus, McAfee VirusScan, Sophos Anti-Virus, CA InoculateIT, Dr.Web and eSafe.
"We are really delighted to inform our users that the world-class quality of the AVP anti-virus they currently use has now been confirmed by the results of the independent tests from Virus Bulletin. We welcome the initiative from Virus Bulletin to perform continuous testing (tests are conducted every two months) because the only way to understand the reliability of a product is to check its 'pedigree'. The repeated outstanding results of previous tests are indicative of product consistency," says Eugene Kaspersky, head of Anti-virus Research at Kaspersky Lab.
This time Virus Bulletin tested the various anti-virus programmes for Windows NT Workstation. Besides the traditional identification of products capable of detecting all the viruses currently in-the-wild, the certification scheme was extended to test how well products are able to detect viruses inside archived files. Kaspersky Lab's AVP passed all these tests with flying colours confirming its excellence as the best anti-virus protection product on the market.
