In accordance with global restructuring, Logical locally continues to expand its e-business solution sets and integration skills, focusing on BroadVision, Autonomy, Oracle, Microsoft, IBM and Saleslogix. Logical SA has spent the last year building its e-business integration services, and has aligned itself closely with worldwide strategy to become a professional services driven business.
As a result, Logical SA will be following the model set by Logical globally with Computer 2000 in the UK. By passing on its lower margin WinTel and low-end networking business to third parties, Logical SA will be able to concentrate on higher margin solution services deals.
Karl Campbell, Logical South Africa`s CEO says: "Logical SA will continue to align with and execute the global strategy. During 2000 we concentrated on laying the groundwork for our e-business integration solutions, which are already starting to pay off, and we believe these areas of the business will provide solid growth for Logical going forward."
Commenting on possible staffing changes, Campbell added that, "Some realignment of skills might be needed over the next few months as we focus more intensely on e-integration business, and this may require retraining, relocation or a small number of retrenchments."
