Manufacturing e-zine unveiled

Tekni Consulting, provider of technical training, consulting, and support specialising in Autodesk manufacturing solutions, has released the premier issue of electronic magazine, The Creative Inventor, says Design Taxi.

Dedicated strictly to Autodesk manufacturing solutions, the publication gives users of Autodesk manufacturing software a source for articles, tutorials, tips and the very latest news and best practices for engineering and design.

The Creative Inventor will be published six times per year, and will contain articles on Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD Mechanical, AutoCAD Electrical, Autodesk Vault Manufacturing, Autodesk Alias Design, Autodesk Moldflow, Autodesk Algor Simulation, and AutoCAD 3ds Max software.

Software provider Cincom Systems has partnered with California-based Ultriva to offer existing and new customers lean manufacturing solutions that complement its Cincom Control enterprise resource planning and Cincom Acquire Sales and Product Configurator software, reports Defence Suppliers.

This partnership provides manufacturers with complex engineered or made-to-order products: a solution that features role-based operations management combined with proven lean execution.

"We believe this combination will provide our customers with the operational efficiencies required to meet the unique challenges facing manufacturers today," says Jerry Miller, director of Cincom's Manufacturing Business Solutions Division.

Syrma Technology, an EMS partner and specialist in design and manufacturing of custom RFID tag solutions, has joined the Dash7 Alliance. The Dash7 Alliance is a newly formed wireless industry consortium, says Electro IQ.

Dash7 is essentially an active RFID air interface technology, and Syrma Technology brings many years of experience in RFID product engineering and manufacturing technology that has enabled many new RFID solutions.

The addition of Dash7 technology expands the capabilities that Syrma Technology brings to the table in support of its OEM customer base in releasing new solutions to the market. Syrma Technology offers building block engineering, manufacturing and testing services that enable OEMs to more effectively deploy Dash7 technology in new RFID and M-to-M communication products.
