MG Design expands team

MG Design is expanding its project management team with a highly skilled and experienced professional, Richard Thompson, according to Exhibitor Online.

Thompson will be responsible for reviewing designs, identifying materials, estimating and monitoring costs throughout the life of each project, and working with shop staff to ensure construction meets all specifications.

Thompson brings to MG Design over 15 years` experience in the project management and cabinet-making fields.

Research and Markets has added 'The Wiley Guide to Project, Program, and Portfolio Management` to its offering, reports Reuters.

'The Wiley Guide to Project Management` contains not only well-known and wisely used basic project management practices, but also new, cutting-edge concepts in the broader theory and practice of managing projects.

The series will consist of edited guides, each devoted to a sub-topic area under the umbrella of PM. The first four volumes will cover: project, programme, and portfolio management; project control; organisation and project management competencies; and project technology management, supply chain, and procurement.

Hertz Global has appointed Lois Boyd as senior VP of process improvement and project management, says Reuters.

Boyd joins Hertz from Tenneco, where she served for the last four years as VP and GM of global commercial vehicle segment, specialty markets.

Boyd completed her MS studies in administration at Central Michigan University, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in management from Oakland University.
