Mining project selects ECM system
Multinational mining infrastructure giant Hatch has implemented SharePoint and Cadac Organice as the enterprise content management system for the Koniambo Nickel Project in New Caledonia, says Image & Data Manager.
The $3.85 billion development of the massive Koniambo ore body is being managed by Koniambo Nickel SAS, a joint venture between Soci'et'e Mini`ere du Sud Pacifique, the development arm of the North Province government of New Caledonia (51%) and Xstrata Nickel (49%).
The management contract was awarded to a joint venture between Hatch and Technip and includes engineering, procurement and construction project management services.
Northgate apologises to Open Text
Value-added reseller Northgate Information Solutions has apologised to software firm Open Text for spreading inaccurate information about product support during a local government sales campaign, reports Channel Web.
Northgate contacted customers of the enterprise content management specialist to inform them the vendor was ceasing support for the RKYV version of its Content Lifecycle Management product.
Open Text plans to integrate RKYV with its core ECM suite. But the vendor's UK public sector sales director Simon Lill scotched suggestions product support was on the chopping block.

As a featured service on the Box.net platform, the DocuSign eSignature solution will be available to Box.net's four million users, allowing them to collaborate on content and then close transactions in the cloud.
Karen Appleton, vice-president of business development at Box.net, says: “By adding DocuSign to the Box.net platform, we're providing a comprehensive cloud-based solution that extends users' workflow from file creation and collaboration on Box.net, to deal closure with the DocuSign eSignature service.”
