Mint Management Technologies accredited by Microsoft as SharePoint deployment planning services provider

Mint Management Technologies, "Mint", announced that as a result of its highly focused business strategy, the company has again achieved the highest standards set by Microsoft, and has been accredited as a SharePoint Deployment Planning Services (SDPS) provider, a highly regarded "qualification" for Microsoft partners.

Microsoft accreditations are the aspiration of many technology partners, and are awarded to partners, such as Mint, who have achieved specified criteria and who have demonstrated the highest, most consistent capability and commitment within a specific business solution area, which also includes the ability to provide "services" in that particular area of expertise.

"To achieve the SharePoint Deployment Planning Services accreditation means that Mint has demonstrated both a proven track record and the capacity to deliver on the requirements set out by Microsoft," said Francois Pienaar, Services Director at Mint.

The benefits to customers in dealing with a Microsoft SDPS partner such as Mint includes the ability to make use of Software Assurance Benefits to help cover the cost of engaging with qualified Planning Services Partners for SharePoint deployment and upgrade planning. Depending on the services the customer is interested in, and the number of days the customer qualifies for, the SDPS engagement could vary in length from one to 15 days, and could include the following benefits for the customer:

* Insights into understanding the basic Microsoft SharePoint functionality;
* Deployment planning activities and questions addressed by a qualified consultant;
* The architectural and operational aspects of Microsoft SharePoint explained; and
* Continuous planning efforts - the next steps.

"We are continuing to make a significant difference in the way our customers have been doing business and we will continue to pass the benefits of saving on the engagement costs onto our customers, giving them the maximum value of both Mint and Microsoft's expertise. To have our efforts recognised once again by a premier technology partner like Microsoft is a feather in our cap," says Mint's Managing Director, Carel du Toit.

"Mint's culture of being first, including our drive for continuous improvement, keeps us forward-thinking and contributes towards our premier position as one of the 'best of breed' trusted partners for customers who are looking for a value-add, experienced Microsoft partner in South Africa," says Pienaar.

With SharePoint adoption continuing to be the biggest hurdle to the deployment and continued realisation of value, it's important that customers understand their benefits and utilise them. "What excites me most about the SDPS programme is the fact that Microsoft effectively funds customers to get started on their SharePoint journey," says Pienaar.

"We encourage customers to utilise Microsoft's PinPoint site to find a local partner who lives true to the high standards set by Microsoft. Our advice to customers is to select a partner who has the technical and deployment planning expertise that only qualified partners have. Your partner should be with you all the way on your technology journey, which may last anything from a few months to many years," concludes Pienaar.

Mint uses leading mobile and Web technologies to automate and simplify sales and service operations to deliver a world-class and real-time customer experience.
