Mint has once again gone the extra mile to ensure it secures its place at the top of the Microsoft Dynamics partner pile, by attending the recent Microsoft Dynamics Convergence EMEA Conference, held in Barcelona, Spain, from 4 to 6 November.
Mint's managing director, Carel du Toit, together with Mint's CRM Lead, Jaco Kofman, and one of the company's key customers, attended the three-day premier event for the Microsoft Dynamics Community in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The event featured important product announcements across the Microsoft Dynamics suite of products from renowned keynote speakers, which included the likes of Microsoft Executive vice-president of Microsoft Business Solutions Group, among others.
"The importance of attending such an event is critical to our quest to be one of the top Microsoft partners of choice when it comes to the Dynamics offerings, and in particular, in the CRM arena," said Carel du Toit, managing director of Mint. " We aim to know about the latest technology developments when they are launched, and this is one of the main reasons for us attending the event, as Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013's Global Premier took place at this event," added Du Toit.
Another reason for Mint's attendance at the conference was to glean valuable information from the breakout sessions and interactive discussions, which took place at regular intervals throughout the duration of the conference, and to gain a deeper understanding of the roadmap and future of the Microsoft Dynamics offering.
"The one-on-one product demonstrations and networking opportunities afforded by the attendance of the Convergence Expo, which featured some of Microsoft's independent software vendors' (ISVs) add-on solutions, gave Mint valuable insights on ways to expand our already comprehensive value offering to our local customers," said Kofman, who heads up Mint's team that is based at one of South Africa's biggest financial institutions.
"While the Convergence EMEA covers the entire Dynamics suite, Mint's focus was undoubtedly on CRM, which is one of Mint's key value offerings. Key enhancements to the CRM features in line with Mint's other specialisations, which include information access and mobility, which are both driven through the Microsoft technology stack, provided us with a glimpse into how to further maximise the business value of our customers' other Microsoft technology investments," added Du Toit. Mint feels it is imperative to keep abreast of technology trends and to share these with our key customers. To this end, Mint invited one of its customers to attend the event to experience the latest releases with them.
"True to Mint's philosophy of forging long-term relationships with its customers, and part of that relationship being sharing Mint's experiences, information gleaned about international trends and lessons learnt by attending conferences such as Convergence, comes the advantage of being able to build a product or solution roadmap with its customers. By doing so, both parties can effectively plan for the future solution requirements. This adds significantly to the value proposition that Mint gives to its key stakeholders."
As further evidence of Mint's commitment to being at the forefront of technology developments is its participation as a sponsor and break-out session partner at the forthcoming exciting Microsoft Dynamics event, to be held in February 2014.
