More CIOs leave USDA
The exodus from the US Agriculture Department (USDA) continues with Jerry Williams, deputy CIO, and Chris Niedermayer, associate CIO for information and technology management, according to FCW.com.
Williams will move to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, where he has conditionally accepted a position to be director of financial improvement, he said.
Niedermayer will go to the Patent and Trademark Office, where as programme manager, he will lead the transformation of IT governance processes for the agency's IT investments, he said.
Varsity president faces censure
The results of a campus-wide faculty survey could lead to an eventual vote of no confidence for University of Tennessee (UT) president John Petersen, reports The Daily Beacon.
Also, a special senate meeting with Petersen will take place where senators will get first shot at voicing their concerns with Petersen, and other faculty members will be allowed to ask questions at the end of the session if time permits.
If the Senate does hold a vote of no confidence, it will be the second such dissent of UT's headman in the last four months. The Senate cited a "lack of confidence" in Petersen's handling IT governance issues in October.
