my1HIE reaches 1m e-prescriptions
My One Health Information Exchange (my1HIE) has sent more than one million e-prescriptions from around 700 affiliated healthcare providers throughout south-eastern Michigan, reports News Blaze.
The information exchange programme works with physicians to help them adopt the usage of e-prescribing through their myWorkspace physician Web portal. The portal has been educating and training healthcare providers, and their staff, on the improved care and safety and the time and cost benefits of e-prescribing.
my1HIE healthcare providers account for more than one million of the estimated eight million electronic prescriptions written by the State of Michigan, making my1HIE the largest group of independent physicians e-prescribing in the state.
US electronic healthcare network opens
HealthTransaction Network has begun operations as the first national, electronic healthcare transaction network in the US, says Red Orbit.
The programme came to life last week with the opening of low-cost basic services at community healthcare facilities, a new technologically-advanced identification card, and an electronic transaction network to facilitate transactions between consumers and healthcare providers.
With the start of this network, individuals can now get discounted healthcare services at five regional hospital systems and urgent-care centres throughout the western New York region.
Montana hospital installs employee portal
Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital has installed HospitalPortal.NET's intranet solution, states PR Web.
HospitalPortal.NET is a leading provider of secure hospital-specific intranet sites for electronic information sharing and information publishing. Marcus Daly Memorial is a 25-bed facility with a staff of 485 including 31 physicians. The hospital previously had no intranet in place.
HospitalPortal.NET's Intranet solution is expected to improve efficiencies at Marcus Daly in such areas as policies and procedures, finances, and online maintenance. The hospital anticipates time savings of 100 employee hours per month that would otherwise have been lost in time-consuming searches for appropriate forms.
