Nasscom boosts IT training
The National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) will start a vocational training model at Pune University, India, reports SiliconIndia.
The program, which will be launched in October, was developed to train around 30 000 degree students and make them competent in IT.
The training will transmit professional IT and BPO skills in insurance, retail, hospitality and others.
African e-learning conference unveiled
Computer and Associated Products will host the 2008 Learning Technologies Africa conference and exhibition in Abuja, reports Vanguardngr.
Themed: "Delivering Qualitative Education", the event is billed as a Pan-African initiative, geared towards building digital competencies in the knowledge society.
The conference aims to provide a vision for African e-learning policies, take stock of the current situation and work towards developing a forward-looking approach.
College Network selects LearnCentre
The College Network, an educational services company, has selected the LearnCentre platform to provide Web-based continuing education courses to its global customer base and on-demand soft skills training to its employees, according to Trainingpressreleases.
The LearnCentre platform offers broad, out-of-the-box functionality, the repackaging of materials, and allows for the development of individualised learning plans for each learner.
To facilitate the reporting process and obtain user account information and test scores, the LearnCentre platform will be integrated with the College Networks' Onyx CRM.
