New patent for RADinfo

RIS/PACS solutions provider, RADinfo SYSTEMS, has filed for a new patent covering an aspect of the company's DICOMmail software, that enables sending images through e-mail, says Earth Times.

Dr Chen-Tai Ma, CEO and president of RADinfo SYSTEMS, stated: "This technology will be a new innovation for providers to transmit medical images via an existing e-mail system.

"Products based on this technology truly extend the medical imaging infrastructure into the far-reaching environment. Especially, they address the need of physicians seeking outside consultation for interpretation of DICOM images."

Phadia, Bio-Reference partner

Phadia US has signed new long-term agreement with Bio-Reference Laboratories, says CNN Money.

The agreement will allow Bio-Reference Laboratories to supply ImmunoCAP specific IgE blood tests to its customers, including those covered by United Healthcare, which reinforces the company's record of providing better healthcare through enhanced technology.

"We consistently evaluate advances in technology, providing our physicians with the best information to make sound diagnostic and treatment decisions," said Warren Erdmann, senior VP, director of operations for Bio-Reference Laboratories.

MedApps implements 'Healthcare Anywhere'

Angel.com says MedApps has implemented one of its enterprise-level IVR and intelligent call routing solutions, reports CNN Money.

In conjunction with MedApps FDA-cleared wireless medical devices, the Angel.com IVR system will help MedApps implement its "Healthcare Anywhere" ubiquitous healthcare solution, for patients managing chronic diseases, such as diabetes.

The backbone of the MedApps "Healthcare Anywhere" system is a series of remote patient monitoring devices that collect and transmit daily readings to MedApps servers, for storage and review by healthcare professionals.
