StorTech's recently-appointed CEO, Steven Hayward, aims to grow revenue by at least 20% over the next three years, as it moves up the value chain.
Hayward took over from former CEO Tim Knowles towards the end of last year. He says he is looking forward to the challenges of taking StorTech to the next level.
The solutions and systems integration group provides end-to-end technology solutions. Hayward says the company, which historically had a narrow range of capabilities, has diversified its technology range.
StorTech will expand its offerings into services, particularly managed services, says Hayward. He notes the group expanded its range over the past two years, but had not scaled, which is now his focus.
The big challenge will be to move up the value chain, says Hayward. He adds that the focus will also be on improving collaboration with Vodacom and extending its channel reach and products.

Hayward has represented majority shareholder Vodacom's interests on the StorTech board for the past three to four years, while he was executive director of Vodacom Business. Prior to that, he was Telkom's group executive for strategy.
Knowles took up the position as StorTech CEO in August 2003 and previously worked at IBM, Persetel, Business Connexion and Dimension Data. He retains a position on the board, and has left to pursue other interests, says Hayward.
Hayward says he continues to draw on Knowles' experience. Hayward was appointed in early December after acting as CEO for a month, following Knowles' resignation after just more than nine years at the helm.
