No new MD for Miraculum

Miraculum has no immediate plans to make a new appointment to replace MD Brandon Spear, who left the company last week.

Spear has taken up a post as regional VP of Quadrem Africa, a global mining, minerals and metals e-marketplace.

Evan Elstein, Miraculum COO and now also acting MD, says he will run the company in the next few months. "We have a strong executive team in place. We will continue running the company along the path established by Brandon and the executive committee some time ago, and will remain on track to achieve the objectives we set at the beginning of this year."

Elstein says a decision may be made on a new MD appointment at some point in future, but that this is not necessary at the moment.

This does not signify any problems within the company, says Elstein. "Miraculum has been through a tough period in terms of general trends in the market, but we have weathered the storm very well, and have managed to succeed where others would have failed. We are now on track to achieve objectives set at the beginning of the year, and have no real changes in strategy planned at the moment," he says.
