Open Text buys Nstein

Seeking to broaden its content management software offerings, Open Text plans to acquire Nstein Technologies, a provider of text management tools, for CDN$35 million (R258 million), according to Managing Automation.

Open Text says the offer represents a 100% premium on the 30-day trading average of Nstein's common shares.

The deal would augment Open Text's suite of enterprise content management products, used in a variety of applications from accounts payable to enterprise search, with Nstein's tools, which are used mainly by media and publishing companies.

CoreMedia has won a significant contract from Com Hem AB - one of Sweden's telecom operators - to provide the Web content management solution for the company's Web presence, says CMS Center.

Com Hem will use the CoreMedia CMS Web Content Management solution to combine and edit clear and informative content for its Web site, in order to support the company's overall focus on improving customer service and support.

Key selection criteria behind Com Hem's decision included the best practice digital content management offered by CoreMedia CMS, the solution's strong social networking integration capabilities, and impressive Web 2.0 support.
