Building and expanding on its mobile CRM and social CRM innovations, Oracle unveiled Oracle Mobile Sales Assistant 2.0 for BlackBerry and Oracle Social CRM Applications Release 3, at Oracle OpenWorld, in San Francisco, this week.
The social CRM applications introduce Oracle CRM Sales Campaigns On Demand and enhancements to Oracle CRM Sales Library on Demand and Oracle CRM Sales Prospector On Demand.
Mark Woollen, Oracle VP of social CRM, says the company has spearheaded a movement to provide sales professionals with mobile CRM and social CRM applications that reflect the daily realities of selling.
“The releases address the highly mobile and relationship-driven elements of working and communicating within the sales cycle, enabling sales professionals to spend more time in front of their customers selling and less time back at the office seeking, logging or creating content.”
Oracle Mobile Sales Assistant, he says, is optimised for mobile professionals, and is a simple, intuitive application designed to help them communicate with colleagues and customers, complete daily tasks while on the road, and close deals more quickly.
Woollen says Oracle Mobile Sales Assistant 2.0 for BlackBerry introduces support for 12 languages, expanding mobile CRM to new markets and users.
Speaking of Oracle Social CRM Applications, Woollen notes these are intuitive, focused applications, utilising the latest Web 2.0 technologies. They assist sales users to be more effective and productive by harnessing the knowledge and experience of their broader community to identify qualified leads, develop sales campaigns and work with their colleagues to close more deals, with no data entry needed, he explains.
He says Oracle CRM Sales Campaigns On Demand includes real-time campaign results tracking, which features in-depth information on e-mail delivery, covering whether an e-mail has been opened, or cannot be delivered should the address be invalid. “In addition, the product offers easy adherence to compliance laws, making honouring customers' preferences to opt-out e-mails easier.
“Oracle CRM Sales Library On Demand now features support for Microsoft Word, integration with Oracle CRM On Demand Release 16 to accelerate sales cycles, access control for better compliance, more efficient tags and filters, and a message board for members to get a quick view of activity within their social networks.”
