According to Oracle, release two of Oracle HTML DB delivers a wider range of capabilities to facilitate the development of Web-based applications, the design of SQL queries, and the editing of SQL and PL/SQL within a Web browser.
"The latest release of HTML DB includes enhancements and new features that allow for overall greater ease of use, increased application performance and tighter application security," says Andy Mendelsohn, Oracle senior VP of database and server technologies.
The enhanced features in the new version of HTML DB include a wizard for creating applications, new tools for building queries, easier viewing and management of database objects, an improved user interface, and session state protection for adding an extra layer of security to applications, says Mendelsohn.
