Oracle upgrades security
Oracle has updated the content security in its Enterprise Content Management Suite to offer both encryption and the ability to apply information management policies, says Information Week.
Oracle Universal Content Management, the core of its ECM suite, can now store automatically encrypted content, a feature it shares with the Oracle 10g database.
The encryption feature was enabled by the content management system's integration with another Oracle product, Information Rights Management.
ADXStudio available
ADXStudio Content Management System (CMS) 6.0 is now available, reports Thomas Net.
Built on the NET Framework, it offers support of and integration with, Microsoft's next-generation of server products, and a new social networking functionality.
"The launch of ADXStudio CMS 6.0 through our partner channel in December was a tremendous success and the timing of this 'public' release couldn't be better," said Shan McArthur, VP technology, ADXStudio.
IBM ups search capabilities
IBM has introduced a new version of its OmniFind enterprise search software designed to help users quickly and easily find, manipulate and share information across their business or organisation, says CNNMoney.
IBM OmniFind Enterprise Edition 8.5 search software features enhancements that help customers rapidly gain insight and value from their business information, which is the aim of IBM's cross-company information-on-demand strategy.
The OmniFind advancements make it the industry's first enterprise search engine to support the latest Lotus collaboration and social software allowing early adopters of Lotus tools such as Lotus Quickr and Lotus Connections to further improve productivity, business networking and knowledge sharing.
