Microsoft Outlook this week announced new partnerships with third-party apps.
"Partner add-ins help you get more done right from your inbox," the Outlook team said in a blog post.
These add-ons are available in Outlook 2013 and Outlook on the Web for users with Office 365 and Exchange 2013 mailboxes. They will be available on the new Outlook.com within the next month.
Outlook users are able to set a reminder within the platform to request an Uber 45 minutes before any calendar event. PayPal users are able to send money to others, from within Outlook. Evernote users are able to attach notes within both platforms.
A Boomerang add-on allows users to schedule e-mails in advance and add a smart calendar assistant that shares users' real-time availability.
Other partnerships that are coming to Outlook soon, according to Microsoft, are the Web-based 'connection' app, IFTTT; restaurant review service Yelp; and to-do list app, Wunderlist.
