Page Automation is giving its customers free Kyocera FS-C 5015N laser printers, provided they sign a copy plan agreement, in which they pay 95c per print with a minimum of 500 prints a month.
Colour printing is experiencing rapid growth in the local market, but high costs of laser printers, compared to inkjet printers, is stunting this growth, says the company.
Many users are unaware that inkjet printing costs eight to 10 times more than laser printing, with a single inkjet print costing upwards of R6, according to Page Automation.
The agreement is inclusive of toner, maintenance, spares, travel and labour costs, delivery and installation.
Business users who need colour printing as well as colour copying can opt for the addition of a Kyocera FS-1118 multifunction (print, copy, scan and fax) unit, which has a colour scanning facility. This allows users to scan their colour document and then print the document to the colour laser printer. Costs are the same as the Kyocera FS-C 5015N, although a minimum volume of 1 500 prints is required.
