Pearson Government Solutions has entered into an agreement to acquire Blueprint Technologies, a provider of enterprise architecture and iterative development solutions and services.

The integration of Blueprint into Pearson will further strengthen the company`s ability to help government and commercial customers improve their enterprise performance through technology. The formal closing of the acquisition is expected to occur in early April.

Pearson Blueprint Technologies will become an operating business unit of Pearson Government Solutions and will be led by Blueprint Technologies` president, CEO, and co-founder Jeanne O`Kelley, Usnewswire.com reports.

FSTC forms enterprise architecture committee

The US Financial Services Technology Consortium (FSTC) has created a standing committee whose mission is to focus on enterprise architecture issues that affect the entire spectrum of the financial services industry.

William J Barr, an executive with over 30 years of experience developing technology solutions for financial institutions and other Fortune 500 companies has been named managing executive of this committee.

FSTC`s Enterprise Architecture Standing Committee is a forum and vehicle to address common architecture issues as an industry-wide community rather than in a vacuum. Senior enterprise architects, technologists, financial-institution executives, and FSTC-member technology companies will and collaborate around issues and best practices, learn through teleconferences and workshops and formally conduct research projects, according to a statement.
