IT security reseller Performanta is opening a branch in the UK and plans to introduce its solutions to market, as the company moves beyond its role as a reseller.
Performanta Group CEO Guy Golan says the company has grown exponentially since its launch under three years ago. From a team of nine, it has grown its employee base to 60 staff locally, with four now based in Europe.
In addition, 'Mr DLP' - Lior Arbel, formerly of Websense - has been appointed as CTO of the new branch, to be officially opened in London on 1 April."
The new branch office will support Performanta's rapidly growing UK customer base, as well as driving new business.
In addition to expanding its footprint, Performanta is set to change from a pure reseller to a security software developer, with new releases set to come to market over the next few months. "We are investing 5% of our turnover into R&D, and have secured the services of great minds in the industry, to fill gaps in the market with unique solutions," he says.
The first new solution is set for release in the first half of this year, to be followed by a release in Q3, in partnership with a major local company now expanding into Africa. While Golan cannot elaborate on the new solutions at this stage, he describes both a unique, with potential for global expansion.
He ascribes the growth to the company's culture of innovation and performance, as well as its experience as a reseller, which has allowed it to identify gaps in the information security market.
As part of the group's mission to address local enterprises' information security needs,
Performanta will also be the event sponsor of the upcoming ITWeb IT Security Summit in May, when it will also host a local top-level executive briefing modelled on the Executive Briefing Centre (EBC) series abroad, where product managers and strategic information security executives from Websense, McAfee and Checkpoint will update local CIOs and CISOs on solutions that deliver on strategic business imperatives.
"We are addressing the market's needs from every angle," says Golan.
