PM Tech merges MS, network services companies

Johannesburg, 28 Feb 2002

PM Tech Holdings, the solutions, and consulting group, has merged the operations of its Microsoft services division, PMMCS, with its services company, CCC Systems. It will target SMEs and large corporates.

The new company, PM Microsoft Consulting Services (PMMCS), will provide a single point for consulting, design, roll-out, training, maintenance and support of MS technologies and environments.

Mike Leeuwen, a director PM Tech, says PMMCS will build on the joint expertise of the companies to enable clients to optimise the use of their investment in Microsoft-based technology.

"Our focus will be on delivering exceptional quality of service together with a wide range of services - from managing the roll-out of enterprise-wide XP projects to one-off implementation of an MS Exchange Server," says Leeuwen.

The consulting division has most recently been involved in the roll-out of MTN`s MS XP environment in Nigeria.

PMMCS`s consulting services will target companies in need of design and implementation services. Additional services have been designed to help companies upgrade existing MS technology, ensuring the design conforms to Microsoft standards.

The company also provides standardisation and documentation services that simplify recovery in the event of a disaster.

Leeuwen says there will also be a range of support services to complement the offering, appealing to companies that don`t want the burden of additional support staff.

Included in the PMMCS support service offering is PM Tech`s monitoring tool, Enterprise Gauge, as well as Focus SQL, Focus Windows and Focus Windows 2000, the Web-based remote monitoring tool.
