iBurst has signed a systems implementation deal worth R6 million with Red Man Technologies to integrate Softline Enterprise's suite of Sage software.
The wireless broadband provider hopes this will enhance relations with its low-end consumers, as well as gear it towards acquiring enterprise customers.
"We penned the R6 million deal with Red Man Technologies for it to do a number of things for us," says iBurst's IT head Cobus McQuirk. "Chief among those tasks is to install Sage's SalesLogix Customer Relations Management System and the Sage Line 500 ERP systems."
Red Man Technologies is already in the planning phase of the installation and is moving steadily ahead towards its deadline of 1 April 2009.
"The solutions will provide iBurst with the flexibility it needs to market products at its leisure. This is because Softline Enterprise solutions will make their operations simpler and faster," says Red Man chief solutions architect Jarno Loubser.
Loubser says the software runs on multiple platforms and can easily integrate with other applications and systems, and its scalability ensures customers will not outgrow the solution.
McQuirk says the deployment will allow iBurst to provide full customer and product assurance. "We'll have a 360-degree view of all our customer relations and we'll be able to monitor the service that we give them."
iBurst will also use the flexibility the solutions offer to provide its customers with packages such as bundled data and voice. The wireless broadband provider hopes to expand its customer base to high-end consumers.
"Traditionally, we have been focused on low-end consumers, we moved into small to medium enterprises and we are now looking at acquiring enterprises," McQuirk.
iBurst explains that once the solutions improve customer relations, by providing a good service, it will feel ready to move into the high-end market.
