Keen Samsung fans will have the latest flagship devices from the hardware manufacturer in their hands by the end of this week.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 and Edge S7 will be available in South Africa this Friday, only two weeks after launch at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Last year, SA received the Samsung Galaxy S6 in April, months after launch.
The S7 Edge is slightly larger than the S7, with a 5.5-inch screen. Both the Samsung S6 and S6 Edge featured a 5.1-inch screen, with the Samsung S6 Edge Plus coming out later in the year with a 5.7-inch display.
The S7 smartphones are water- and dust-resistant, and feature fast wireless charging. Samsung has brought back expandable storage with a MicroSD slot.
In an attempt to bring more virtual reality headsets to more people, Samsung said every pre-order of the new Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will ship with a free Gear VR.
Contract prices start at R559 for 24 months on Telkom and R599 on Vodacom.
