Software AG presents SOA summit

The AG SOA Summit Spring 2008 will take place on 14 May in New York City, according to Business Wire.

This one-day, complimentary forum serves as a exchange for practitioners entrusted with implementing their organisation's SOA strategies.

Attendees will gain actionable insight into the governance models and best practices that are making SOA sustainable and successful.

HP releases SOA testing products

HP has rolled out new versions of its SOA testing products: HP Service Test and HP Service Test Management, says EFY Times.

"SOA governance is the key to successful adoption of SOA within organisations. SOA quality and management in turn ensures businesses run SOA successfully in day to day operations and production environment," said Kamal Dutta, director, HP software, HP India. "The new solutions from HP Software give our customers an opportunity to adopt and leverage SOA as a mainstream initiative and deliver better business outcomes,"

In addition, HP has announced new SOA management capabilities with HP Business Availability Center for SOA, HP Diagnostics for SOA and HP SOA Policy Enforcer that together monitor services in production, resolve operational issues and deal with changes to services.

Next-gen GRC event to take place

Technology solution providers have joined together for the first time to focus on the next generation architecture for governance, risk and compliance (GRC) technology - and to agree on a common language to describe architectural components, reports CSR Wire.

At an open meeting of the OCEG Technology Council in San Francisco last week, representatives from more than 30 companies and key organisations including Microsoft, SAP, ISACA and Deloitte Consulting met to advance the development of an integrated GRC Blueprint that will define the categories and hierarchy of technologies that support GRC.

The GRC Blueprint is a comprehensive enterprise software information and services architecture that is a core program of the OCEG Technology Council.
