SolTech appoints director

SolTech, a developer of custom software solutions, has announced the appointment of Allan Regenbaum as director of Emerging Technologies, reports Marketwatch.

Regenbaum is an engineer by training, with more than 28 years of proven success in product, business and market development for technology companies ranging from start-up to the well established.

He has designed, developed and marketed ITV systems for the hospitality, transport and entertainment industries. He has been acknowledged as a Web retail expert as a result of his branding and Web marketing achievements.

DEMOfall 08 kicked off its 19th year with the unveiling of 72 products on centre stage, according to Prnewswire.

The conference, which serves as a launch pad for the industry's biggest and brightest technologies, will showcase 72 new technologies that will change the technology landscape.

This year's product debuts include everything from a collaborative pen technology, a gadget that turns private cars into a public transport network, to a service that captures the marketing spin in online news.
