Stock in the Channel nears 1 000

Stock in the Channel, the Web site aimed at resellers, will sign up its one-thousandth within the next week, says PC Mag.

The has signed up nearly 1 000 resellers and is growing by about 50 to 100 every week. The service has also signed up a multitude of distributors, including Ingram Micro and Computer 2000.

Speaking to PC Retail, director of Stock in the Channel, Tony Meyers, said: "The key thing about the service is that it lets the smallest independent compete against the largest reseller."

Citrix welcomes SME resellers

Small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) resellers in North America wanting to resell Citrix SystemsAccess Essentials 2.0 will no longer have to join the company's partner programme or get special certifications, reports eChannelline.

It is anticipated the developments in its North American channel programmes would greatly expand reseller opportunities in the SME segment, particularly for those familiar with Microsoft Windows Terminal Server CALs.

Citrix Access Essentials 2.0 is a Web-based solution for SMEs to place their company's computer programs in the hands of five to 75 remote or mobile users.

Lenovo rewards SME channel

Lenovo has launched a loyalty rewards programme targeting resellers that serve the SME market, says eChannelline.

The programme, dubbed Club Lenovo, will reward participants for selling Lenovo TopSeller products: PCs, monitors, peripherals and services specifically configured and priced for the needs of SMEs.

According to Stefan Bockhop, Lenovo Canada's director of channel sales, the programme sign-up process takes five minutes, during which the SME sales representative receives a user ID.
