StorTech today proudly announced it has achieved four Symantec Master Specialisations in the areas of data protection, storage management, high availability, archiving and e-discovery.
The Symantec Master Specialisation recognises partners which exhibit deep consultative and technical support expertise in a particular area of business, and provides partners with the skills and experience required to deliver differentiated service to their customers. Symantec partners achieve specialisations by meeting certain requirements that deepen their knowledge and proficiency in a solution family. These partners showcase advanced capabilities in selling, delivering and servicing throughout the consulting engagement life cycle.
By achieving these four Symantec Master Specialisations, StorTech is better enabled to meet the needs of its customers by delivering high-value solutions to protect and manage their information. StorTech was the first partner in South Africa to achieve Master Specialisation in all four availability specialisation areas:
* Archiving and e-Discovery Specialisation allows partners to provide consultation to customers to control costs of managing information by providing solutions that solve challenges created by information volume.
* Storage Management Specialisation empowers partners to help reduce their customers' capital costs and risks for storage, and provide in-depth knowledge and solutions to increase storage utilisation.
* Data Protection Plus Specialisation recognises partners that provide complete protection for their customers' information-driven enterprise, with the additional expertise in Symantec backup appliances.
* High Availability Specialisation partners are best positioned to help keep their customers' data and applications continuously available across operating systems, applications, hardware components and data centres.
"Symantec offers real business benefits to our customers, and we understand the Symantec product and solution set and how it maps to our customers' business requirements," says Jason Barr, Managing Executive of Data Center Solutions at StorTech. "We have been a Symantec partner for the past 12 years, and believe that as a value-added partner, we need to invest in the people with the right skills and knowledge to be able offer real value. It's important not only to have the relevant Symantec certifications, but the in-depth expertise with regards to knowledge and people that provide the value to the customer."
By achieving these Master Specialisations, StorTech has demonstrated an investment and expertise in Symantec and a drive to provide complete protection for its customers' information-driven enterprise. The Symantec Archiving and eDiscovery Specialisation recognises partners which help customers control costs of managing their information, while the High Availability Specialisation identifies those partners which help keep data and applications continuously available in their customers' environment. These partners provide solutions that cross operating systems, applications, hardware components and data centres.
The Storage Management Specialisation highlights StorTech's ability to help reduce its customers' capital costs and risks for storage. These partners provide in-depth knowledge and solutions to increase storage utilisation.
"The Master Specialisation showcases our partners' expertise and proficiency in Symantec solutions and services," said Chad Cleevely, channel manager for Africa, Symantec.
