Study shows CLM eases

A report by the Aberdeen Group on contract lifecycle management (CLM) revealed 42% of corporate enterprises are being pressured to adopt CLM technology to mitigate risk, says CRM2day.

“Globalisation, rising supply risk, and increasing costs have driven organisations to place greater emphasis on establishing and managing their contractual relationships and obligations,” said Bill Browning, research analyst at Aberdeen Group.

The report revealed that 34% of companies are using CLM to facilitate and reporting requirements and that those companies realise twice as many sales and purchasing orders as the average company.

Newforma discusses e-submittals management

Newforma will present case studies on the benefits of electronic submittals management at the American Institute of Architects California Council 2008 California Practice Conference, and at the Build Boston tradeshow and convention, reports Marketwatch.

Newforma believes that submittals management is one of the most time- and labour-intensive areas of contract administration, and will present sessions on improving submittals management.

These presentations aim to show how redundancies and energy-wasting steps can be eliminated by using project information management software to manage the process.
