
TCS wins Ericsson contract
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has signed a five-year global contract with Ericsson to deliver application maintenance and development services for Ericsson's internal IT operations, reports Consultant-news.
TCS has been selected as one of the two strategic partners that will deliver application maintenance services to Ericsson and a preferred supplier for application development services.
Nils Molin, MD, Sweden at the analyst firm IDC, added: "This contract signifies the trend of increased acceptance of Indian headquartered IT companies delivering complex projects in the Nordic region."
NASA extends IT contracts
Science Applications International announced that Nasa has extended the period of performance for the Unified Nasa Information Technology Services contract, says Marketwatch.
This 11-month programme extension, valued at more than $212 million, raises the ceiling value of the contract to more than $1.1 billion and extends the contract through November of 2009.
Under the extension, SAIC will continue to provide IT services to Nasa's Marshall Space Flight centre and support all Nasa centres, including Nasa Headquarters and Nasa's international sites and networks.
Forrester hosts CLM Webinar
