Tech students author e-business guide
A small publication has sparked interest from Dell and an endorsement from Nielsen's chairman and CEO, according to Roanoke Times.
Groups of business-minded Virginia Tech students have created a window into the changing world of online commerce. It's called 'The Online Business Guidebook', and it's aimed at entrepreneurs who want to launch an Internet business.
Led by a business information technology professor, nine Virginia Tech seniors set out last year to craft a guide on how to start an online business.
Sysytemax acquires Circuit City
Online retailer Systemax has completed the acquisition of Circuit City's online business and re-launched CircuitCity.com, reports Forbes.
Systemax closed on its agreement to acquire trademarks, domain names, customer lists and information of the online business out of bankruptcy for $14 million in cash plus a share of future revenue over 30 months.
A bankruptcy court approved the transaction last week following a public auction.
