Telkom is investing R750 000 in local business in its latest promotion that sees SMEs in line to win one of five ICT makeovers for their business that will give them R150 000 worth of telecoms equipment and services.
Telkom says its "ICT Makeover" competition, which will run until the end of February, was launched in a bid to offer "something different" to the company's small and medium business customers.
To qualify for the competition, businesses need to sign up for either Telkom's calling plan (BizTalk) or its Internet package (TBiz) over the next couple of months. Signing up for either of these services will automatically enter the business in the competition.
The ICT makeover includes telephone lines, DSL, voice and data minutes, Web site design and development, equipment including tablets and laptops, and a consultation with a Telkom business consultant. The prize also includes spending money for interior and office furniture makeover and network setup, depending on the need.
The competition is the first of its kind for the company, but Telkom says it will consider competitions of this kind in the future, based on the response it gets. "The return on the marketing investment and return on sales will be a key determinant on whether we do this again."
